Difference between Lose, Loose, Lost, Loss

Today we are going to learn about the word's Lose, Loose, Lost, Loss

These words are little confusing because these sounds similar, almost spelt similar however, we need to understand the meaning of these words are completely different.

Let's begin with the word's "Lose and Lost".

Lose is a verb 

Lose means  "you know longer have it / you misplaced something / Defeat."

For example: You lose a game.
                          She lose her favourite toy.
                           You lose your wallet.

Lost is past and participle of the word lose.

For example: Raju lost the cricket match
 Here, we observed that he didn't win the match so, it is the past of word lose.

2. Rani lost her grandmother in an accident.

Now, we will see the word "Loose."

Loose is a adjective.

  It describes an object of some kind.

Loose means not fitting / accurate.

For example: Tom has loose tooth.

2. These shoes are a little loose.

3. She's wearing a loose coat.

Now, we will see the word "loss."and

Loss is a noun.

Plural form of loss is losses.

Example:

The company made a huge loss this year.

Here loss is financial loss.

The below example more clarity:

# I'm on a weight loss program, my clothes have gotten loose because I' ve lost weight.

Here loss is noun loose is adjective and lost is a verb.
